Barbara Mandeville

Candler –Barbara Helen Cohen Mandeville, 79, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at The Landings at Mills River.

A native of Plainsfield, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Louis Cohen and Lillian Edith Bussell Cohen. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Judith Rosland Cohen.

Mrs. Mandeville was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a longtime member of Good News Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 54 years, Michael Ernest Mandeville, whom she married on August 29, 1970 in Ft. Pierce, Florida. She is also survived by many extended family, church family, and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 10 AM on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Good News Baptist Church, 1953 Smokey Park Hwy, Candler, NC 28715, with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
