Barbara Jean Ewart

Leicester – Barbara Jean Ewart, 71, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her residence while surrounded by her family.

A native of and lifelong resident of Western North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Carl Young Robinson and Bernice Vildia Honeycutt Robinson, and the wife of the late Ronald Hugh Ewart who passed away on June 20, 2018. She is also preceded in death by her son, Michael John Ewart; brother, Gene Robinson; and sister-in-law, Peggy Robinson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ronnie Lee Ewart and wife Pennie; grandsons: Keifer Ewart and wife Ashley, and Corey Ewart and wife Krissy; great-grandchildren: Mea, Adaline, Grayson, and Avery; brothers: Vernon Robinson, Larry Robinson and wife Penny, Jerry Robinson and wife Cathy, and John Robinson; special nephews of the home, Dakota Robinson and Dalton Robinson; beloved dog, Foxie; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.

The Ewart family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Four Seasons Hospice for the care and support given to Barbara Jean and her family.
