Barbara Edmonds

Barbara May Banks Edmonds, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Pardee Hospital.

Barbara was the wife of the late Willard Edmonds who died May 15, 2001.

Barbara retired from the Skyland Ingles Store Bakery following 30 years of service and was a longtime member of Sunny View Baptist Church.

She leaves behind a daughter, Tenia Elizabeth Harris and husband Bill; grandchildren: Fonda Borras (Joseph), Misty Owenby (Brian), and Michael Moore (Crystal); great-grandchildren: Serena Ruffin (Jamie), Amber Ballew (Trevor), Isaiah Moore, Cameron Moore, Malachi Moore, and Brooke Desormiers; great-great-grandson, Braylon Hollifield; sister, Lois Moore; special niece, JoAnn Cantrell; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Tim Warren officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthews Cemetery (Hillgirt Cemtery), 321 Brookside Camp Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 till 2 PM prior to services at the funeral home.

The Edmonds family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses of the Pardee Hospital ICU for their exceptional care.
