Barbara Case

Candler - Barbara Elaine Reynolds Case, 75, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Care Partners Hospice John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.

A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of her life, Mrs. Case worked as a CNA in the Heart Tower at Mission Hospital. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, and will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Case was the daughter of the late Sam Black and Nellie Solesby, and the wife of the late Jerry W. Case, who passed away April 7, 2012. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Case; and siblings: Jack Reynolds, Pud Reynolds, and Brenda Reynolds.

Surviving are her children: Jerry Case, Veronica Rice and husband Nathan, Chris Case and wife Michelle, and Brian Case; former daughter-in-law, Paula Case; grandchildren: Tiffany Rice, Diana Case, Zachary Case, Nathaniel Rice, Jason Case, Samantha Case, Karen Case, Rebecca Case, and Brianna Case; great-grandchildren: Lily-Ana Case, Xavier Garcia, and Jackson Wayne Rice; sister, Beth Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Edgewood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
