Athelene Lillie Sales Wright

Fairview - Athelene Lillie Sales Wright, 88, died Thursday, April 22, 2004 at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Laurel Pines Baptist Church. Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Duff Marion and Emma Diane Lee Sales and was the wife of the late Millard Loys Wright who died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her daughter, Maxine McKinney of Fletcher; son, Wade Wright and wife Linda of Arden; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of the Oaks of Sweeten Creek for the loving care that was given to their mother and grandmother.
