Arnold A. Hare

Columbus Arnold Albert Hare, 82, of 230 Johnson Road, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Park Ridge Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Hare retired in 1993 from Biltmore Forest Country Club where he did landscaping and was a member of Sunnyview Baptist Church. He was a son of the late James Edward Hare and Minnie Bell Owenby Hare Stepp and husband for 63 years of Alma Jean Wooten Hare who died March 21, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Clark. Surviving are his daughter, Barbara Rice of Longs, SC; sons, Gary Hare (Nicki) of Grand Junction, CO and Brian Hare of Asheville; son-in-law, Ray Clark of Asheville; grandchildren, Laura Jarvis (Michael), Teri Clark (Tim), Jeremy Hare, Kimberly Hare, Tony Clark (Lindsey) and Matthew Hare; great grandchildren, Amanda Moore (Torrey), Amber Helton, Cody Bumgarner, Kali Kilby, Delorean Dixon, Alana Dixon and Braelyn Hare; great-great granddaughter, Scarlett Alma Moore; brothers, James Hare and Rev. Donald Hare both of Skyland and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Willard Pruitt and Rev. Donald Hare officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times, the family will be at the home of the granddaughter, Laura Jarvis, 114 Blueberry Hill Drive, Mills River, NC.
