Arlin "Skinner" Clark

April 18, 1941 — November 11, 2023

Fairview - Arlin “Skinner” Clark, 82, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center.


A native of Buncombe County, he had resided most of his life in Haywood County. He had served in the U.S. Army and during his professional career retired as a Truck Driver.


He was a son of the late Melvin Hezekiah “Hez” Clark and Syndia Bryant Clark and former husband of the late Carol Hunt Clark. He was also preceded in death by his son, Wayne Scott Jordan and daughter, Debbie Smathers and 18 brothers and sisters.


Surviving are his children, Steve Clark and wife, Dena of Candler and Arlene Morgan and husband, Darryl of Rutherfordton, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel, with Pastor Tim Clark officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the NC National Guard with burial to follow at the State Veterans Cemetery.


The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
