Anthony Sawyer

Asheville Anthony Sawyer, 39, of Stewart Street, passed away unexpectedly June 5, 2012. A native of New York City, Mr. Sawyer had resided in Buncombe County for the past six years. He was the son of Anthony Desaylles of New York and the late Darline Sawyer. In addition to his father, surviving are his wife, Faustina Ayala Sawyer; children: Canibus Malik Sawyer, Anthony Sawyer, Marcous Lowe, Jaheem Lowe, Sean Williams, Robert Ayala, Malaysia Ayala and Anthony Jones; grandson, D.J. Wallace; brother, James; sisters: Marie and Margaret; aunt, Diane Sawyer; and many friends, including Jeff McMickens. Memorial Services will be held at 6:30 PM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jazz Cathcart officiating. The family will receive friends following the services.
