Annie Mae Moore

Asheville - Annie Mae Ramsey Robinson Moore, 101, formerly of 215 Elk Mountain Road, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the WNC Baptist Retirement Home. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1955. She was formerly employed with Martel Mills in the spinning department for 20 years. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Mary Jane Gentry Ramsey. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Ann Robinson, and sons: Clarence Hollifield, John Louis Robinson, and R.J. Robinson. Surviving are her daughters: Jessie Mae Green and Mary Elizabeth Williams, both of Asheville; son, Boyd Robinson of Asheville; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 14 great, great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mack Farley officiating. Burial will follow in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Our family wishes to thank the CNAs, nurses, and staff of the WNC Baptist Retirement Home for the tender, loving care they gave our Mom during her stay there.
