Annie Herron

August 29, 1931 — September 27, 2021

Asheville – Annie Mae Bugg Herron, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, September 27, 2021 at her home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Herron had retired in 1993 as a pressor with National Linen Service, following 26 years of service. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Mrs. Herron was the daughter of the late Lewis Henry and Margaret Louise Rice Bugg. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Francis Herron, who passed away on May 30, 1986. Surviving are her daughters: Doris Lowery, Marlene Webb and husband Ryan, Brenda Webb and husband Larry, Ruth Maynor, and Mary Herron; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren; and brother, Henry Bugg, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, October 8, 2021 at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with the Rev. Jason Bartlett officiating. The family wishes to express a heartfelt “Thank You” to the physicians and staff of Four Seasons Hospice for the love and compassion shown to Mrs. Herron while under their care. Flowers are accepted and appreciated, or memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Mrs. Herron’s family with arrangements.
