Anna Young

Asheville Anna Lee Roberts Young, 81, of 51 State Street, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the home of her nephew. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Newfound Baptist Church. Mrs. Young was a daughter of the late Walton Willie Roberts and Rena Melinda Roberts and the wife of the late James Dewey Young who died in 1995. Surviving are her sisters, Mabel Ellison of Asheville and Peggy Williams and husband Harold of Alexander; brothers, Bobby Joe Roberts and wife Mary of Asheville, John W. Roberts and wife Marie of Leicester and J.R. Roberts and wife Betty of Mt. Home and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, February 14, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Maynard and Rev. Craig Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
