Ann Vann Stewart, 86, of Asheville went to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at her residence
Mrs. Stewart was born in Wayne County and a resident of Buncombe County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Noel Edgar Vann and Delphia Elizabeth Peele Vann and the wife of Jimmy Harold Stewart, Sr. who died February 10, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Talbert, Gene Vann, Marie Oaks, Olive Newsome, Sam Vann, Doris Mullis and an infant brother.
Ann and her husband, Jim, were members of the former Deaverview Baptist Church and were happily married for 28 years. She was always very supportive of him as they owned and operated Stewart’s TV Sales & Services. Ann realized that his schooling was a way of life while working in electronics, however, when they had the chance they loved to go boating, fishing, camping and even with their demanding schedule would sometimes just get away for a little peace and quiet.
Surviving are her daughters, Terri S. Hensley of Asheville and Sandy Stewart-DeBruhl of the home; son, Jimmy H. Stewart, Jr. (Pam) of Leicester; grandchildren, Chad Stewart, Jason Hensley, Juston Hensley, Heather DeBruhl and Trae DeBruhl; 6 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 2pm Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Green Hills Cemetery with Tim Warren officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45pm Thursday prior to the services at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
