Ann Clark

Church Hill, TN - Ann Clark, 76, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. Clark had resided in Church Hill for 37 years. She was a talented artist, handcrafting porcelain dolls and many ceramic items. She also loved gardening, and grew beautiful roses. Mrs. Clark was the daughter of Nellie Allen Hensley and the late Backus Hensley. In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband of 42 years, Alfred Landon Clark, of the home; sister, Mary Jane Dayton of Asheville; brothers: James Alvin Hensley of Black Mountain and Larry William Hensley of Fletcher; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daryl Overton officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Shelton Hager, Dr. Jeffrey Vaughn, and Dr. Christopher Negila, as well as the staff of the Wilcox Hall of Holston Valley Medical Center and Amedysis Hospice.
