Althea Moran

Asheville - Althea Lucille Wells Moran, 63, of 231 Magnolia Way, died Wednesday February 13, 2008 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Gods Filling Station. She was a daughter of the late Marion Burgin and Helen Eleanor Brown Wells. Surviving are her husband Terry James Moran of the home; sons, Terry Cowart and wife Juanita of Swannanoa, Larry Cowart of the home and David Blankenship, Jr. of Leicester; sisters, Barbara Dale Edge of Conway, SC, Mary Ann Price of Asheville and Betty Bailey of Evansville, IN; brother, Kenneth Eugene Wells of Deltona, FL; grandsons, Jonathan Cowart and companion Christy and Carl Cowart; great granddaughter, Lacy Nicole Cowart and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday at Gods Filling Station with the Revs. Steve Brockwell and Ronald Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
