Alda Green Huntley

November 25, 1939 — March 28, 2015

Asheville Vivian Alda Green Huntley, 75, of Asheville, went to be with her Lord Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Huntley had retired from Continental-Teves, where she had served for over ten years. She loved gardening, going to flea markets, yard sales, was a member of the Smoky Mountain Cloggers, and taking care of her special girl, Ella. She was the daughter of George Richard and Lilly Robeson Green, and the wife of the late George Raymond Huntley, who passed away January 24, 2003. She was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Aspen Jade Wyatt; son-in-law, Docky Wyatt; and brother, Linton Green. Surviving are her daughters: Lorinda Cuthbertson of Oteen, and Vickie Wyatt of Leicester; and their father, Melvin Gregory, of Asheville; grandchildren: Tracy Cuthbertson and Seath Wyatt (Bethany); great-grandson, Nathaniel Carroll; sisters: Virginia Wilson (Charles), Mae Elliott (Howard), and Gail Green; brothers: Alvin Green (Carolyn), and Gregg Green; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Mr. Mark Elliott officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery.
