Alexander - Albert Clubb, 75, of 16 Sweet Pea Drive, died Friday November 29, 2002 at Asheville V.A. Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He was formerly employed with Beacon Manufacturing Company and was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Alexander. He was a W.W.II Army Veteran serving in the Philippines and was a member of the D.A.V. and V.F.W Post #891. He was a son of the late Franklin Marion and Dora Leona Ledbetter Clubb. He was also preceded in death by a son, Howard Buddy Clubb and daughters, Barbara Jean Waldrup and Diana Rose Clubb. Surviving are his wife of 54 years of marriage, Wanda Mae Hensley Clubb of the home; daughter, Sandra Bryson and husband, Ray M. of Alexander; son, Larry S. Steve Clubb of Asheville; sisters, Julia Jones of Leicester and Rachel Rogers of Hickory; brother, Curtis Clubb of Asheville; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Bobby Gibson, Carroll Ingle and Roy McPeters officiating. Burial will be in Brick United Methodist Church Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Erwin High School Jr. R.O.T.C. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the home
