Albert "Al" Wilson Jr.

Swannanoa - Albert Al Wilson, Jr., 61, of 110 Pine Tree Drive, died Wednesday October 8, 2003 at his residence. A native of Yancey County, he had lived most of his life in Buncombe County. He was General Manager for Azalea Management and Leasing Corporation and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran, a graduate of Lee Edwards High School and loved the outdoors and fishing. He was the son of the late Albert Wilson, Sr. and Pearl Allen Cale. Surviving are his wife, Pat Briggs Wilson of the home; son, Jason Wilson and wife, Jennifer of Swannanoa; sister Betty McClain of Matthews, NC and 2 nieces. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Lynda Briggs and Jack Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military rites conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Mountain Area Hospice, P.O.
