Jacksonville, FL – Adam Clay McDuffie, 36, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at his residence. He was a native and resident for most of his life in Asheville, prior to moving to Jacksonville in 2012. He was a 2003 graduate of T.C. Roberson High School, he enjoyed soccer, cars, and in his spare time, enjoyed sketching, billiards, the beach, outdoors, and growing plants and flowers. He was very knowledgeable about horticulture. Adam was a kind and gentle person who was deeply loved by his family and friends. He was hardworking and dedicated to provide for his loved ones. While in Jacksonville, he worked for Ocean View Landscaping Company as a Crew Foreman. He was the son of Darlene Taylor Ayers of Fletcher and Larry Alan McDuffie and wife Debbie of Groveland, FL; companion of 11 years, Jenny Peters and her son, Trevor Presley of Jacksonville; brother, Shane Matthew McDuffie (Dawnn) of Candler; niece, Lena Accrocco of Candler; sisters, Laura Booth and husband Kirk and Natalie King all of Fairview; maternal grandfather, Uyless Gary Taylor of Chuckey, TN and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. A celebration of life services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 27, 2022 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Dr. Kelvin Moseley and Dr. Bobby Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.
