Aage "Jensen" Jensen Jr.

Asheville Aage Jensen Jensen, Jr. of 214 Providence Road died Friday September 22, 2006 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Aage Jensen, Sr. and Lena Anderson Jensen, his first wife Mildred Walters Jensen and a grandson, Nathaniel Jensen. He is survived by his wife Betty Williams of the home; sons, Gary Jensen and wife Carol Sue of Franklin and Bruce Jensen and wife Rachel of Asheville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Sheri Jensen Rose of Wilmington, Daniel Jensen, Maryanna Jensen and Christina Jensen all of Asheville and six great grandchildren. Jensen was a member of Abernethy United Methodist Church and former member of Haywood Street United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Asheville High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a gifted craftsman and retired from Fishburne Equipment Co. in 1983. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
