Willie "Bill" Hill

Leicester, N.C. - Willie Bill Hill, 80, of 56 Hayes Cove Road, died Wednesday February 26, 2003 in an Asheville Health Care Center following a period of declining health. A native of Laurens County, SC. He had resided in Buncombe County since 1970. Mr. Hill was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Leicester and a W.W.II Army Veteran. He was a son of the late Nathaniel and Lizzie McKee Hill and was the husband of the late Mary Agnes Hill and the late Lena Clark Hill. Surviving are his step-daughters, Wanda Haynes and Elaine Couch both of Leicester, Jean McCoy of Candler and Kay Rogers of Asheville; step-son, W.B. Clark of Leicester; step daughter in law, Mary Nell Clark and brother, Edwin Hill of Gray Court, SC. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, SC with the Rev. John T. Lee officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home, Asheville is in charge of arrangements.
