William "Papaw Bill" Hagan

Asheville - William Granville "Papaw Bill" Hagan, 81, died unexpectedly Thursday March 22, 2007 at his home. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Sunrise Baptist Church. He was the husband of the late Gertha E. Hagan. Surviving are his son, Tony Edwards and wife Donna of Asheville and his little buddy, his grandson, Aaron Edwards. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
