William John "Bill" Ball

Candler - William John Bill Ball, 65, of Mimi Lane died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at his home. A native of Westmoreland County, PA and a resident of Asheville for the past 23 years. He was a former Bus Mechanic, a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church and an avid NASCAR fan. Mr. Ball was a son of the late George Raymond Ball and Anna Elizabeth Hutson Ball and the husband of Linda Grace Lytle Ball who passed away October 21, 2006. Surviving are his sister, Lois Ross and husband, Arthur of Latrobe, PA; brother, Jim Ball and friend, Janet of Derry, PA; two step-sons, Phillip Moody and wife, Tami of Rantoul, IL and Shawn Moody of Marietta, GA; step-daughter, Tracey Swafford and husband, Donnie of Candler. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday at Pole Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating. Burial will be in Snow Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
