William B. Falls

Swannanoa William Byrd "Billy" Falls, age 82, passed away December 31, 2014. Mr. Falls was born June 9, 1932 in Kings Mountain, NC and has resided in the Asheville and WNC area for a number of years. Mr. Falls was a son of the late Harry Falls and Annie Byrd Falls. He was a Disabled Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force from September 1949 to November 1956 and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Surviving are his brother, Harry Falls and wife Alice of Fairborn, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, January 5, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Oxner officiating. Friends may visit following services at the funeral home. Burial will be Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
