Wayne T. Gallamore

November 24, 1932 — February 4, 2024

Candler - Wayne Gallamore, SSG, US Army (Ret), 91, died on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Charles George VA Medical Center.


A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Thomas Gallamore and Thelma Gaddy Gallamore and the husband of the late Barbara Joan Hall Gallamore. He was also preceded in death by his son, Randall Wayne “Randy” Gallamore; sisters: Lovella Glenn, Freda Crawford, and Estelle Williams.


Surviving are his grandchildren: Kristal Connors, Kelly Gallamore, Jonathan Gallamore, and Joshua Gallamore; great-grandchildren: Cameron Connors, Cody Connors, Katelyn Gallamore, Dylan Gallamore, Trevor Gallamore, Joshua Gallamore, Jr., Mikala Peterson, and Jada Peterson; brother, Calvin Gallamore; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Joshua DeHart officiating. Military honors will be performed by the U.S. Army.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 till 7 p.m. at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.


The Gallamore family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Charles George VA Medical Center for their loving care and support given to Mr. Gallamore and his family.
