Wayne Lavender

Old Fort - Thomas Wayne Lavender, 55, of 3 Adams Drive, Old Fort, NC passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. He was born September 17, 1957 to James Grady Lavender and Virginia Chrisawn Lavender who preceded him in death. He is survived by his three younger siblings, Dale Lavender of Asheville, NC, Vann Lavender of Marion, NC, Gwynne Lavender of Asheville, NC and three people who were so special to him, his niece and nephews, Justin Lavender of Old Fort, NC, Jessica Lavender of Marion, NC and Jacob Lavender of Alexandria, VA. Wayne also had many friends and family who remember his kind heart that endeared him to them. He loved music and was a talented drummer and drummed on almost anything every time he sat down! He was very intelligent and had a keen mind with many and varied interests and talents, some of them going unnoticed. He will be greatly missed but certainly not forgotten. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013, 4:30 pm at Anders-Rice Funeral Home, 1428 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806. Keith Lindberg will officiate.
