Wanda June Letterman

Candler - Wanda June Lance Letterman, 61, of 5 Macie Lane, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2007. A native of Buncombe County, she retired from the City of Asheville in 1999. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Harrison and Mary Kathryn Freck Lance. Surviving are her husband, Roger Letterman, of the home; children: Tina Spring of Asheville, Roger G. Letterman of Candler, and Kathryn Mejia and husband Daniel of Willow Spring, NC; grandchildren: Rachel, Hannah, and Benjamin Spring, Sarah and Trevor Bush, and Nathan and Meagen Mejia; brother, Kenneth H. Lance, Jr. of Asheville; and sister, Brenda King of Asheville. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Craig Snook officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
