Vluarie Jane Taylor

Weaverville Vluarie Jane Shelton Taylor, 88, of 888 Barnardsville Highway died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Magnolia Health Care Center. A native of Madison County. She lived in Buncombe County since 1946, was a Homemaker, a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Faith Independent Baptist Church in Barnardsville. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed singing and will sing on the other side. She was a daughter of the late George Washington Shelton and Mina Marina Hensley Shelton and also preceded in death by sons, Harold T. Taylor, Robert Jerry Taylor and daughter, Evelyn Joan Hensley Surviving are her husband, Robert T. Taylor; daughters, Carolyn Foster and husband, Clifford of Candler, Bobbie Jean Fender of Fletcher; sisters, Kathy, Marcelle and Georgie all of Seneca, SC ; brothers, Paul and Doug Shelton both of Taylors, SC; 21 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Monday at Faith Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Ivy Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:30 to 5 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of Carolyn Foster, 27 Oakwood Road, Candler, N.C.
