Virginia Marie "Jennie" Carter

Jacksonville, FL - Virginia Marie Jennie Chapman Carter, 49, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006. Raised in Asheville, she was a 1974 graduate of Asheville High School and while in Asheville, she was employed by Bell South and AT&T. She was the daughter of the late Evelyn Wolfe Chapman and William Edward Chapman. Surviving are her husband, Larry Winston Carter, a daughter, Lisa Marie Carter and a son, Kyle Winston Carter all of the home. A sister, Violet Chapman Miller of Loxahatchee, FL, nieces Ginger Sauers Benson of Jacksonville, FL Crystal Eve Miller of Miami, FL and Candice Noel Miller of Loxahatchee, FL, also her loving friend Wanda DeVevo and her son, Jake DeVevo both of Jacksonville, FL. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Riverview UMC Cemetery with Bennie Daves officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
