Trilla Claudette Willett

Leicester Trilla Claudette Willett, 41, of 229 Newfound Road, passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 at her residence. A native of DeKalb Co., GA, she had resided in Buncombe County since 2001. Trilla was the Office Manager of Willett Electric Co., and was a member of Meadow Fork Baptist Church in Spring Creek. She was an avid collector of Coca-Cola items, and was active in Breast Cancer Awareness, participating in the Relay For Life when she was able. Trilla was the daughter of Eugene and Leona Villa Ford Lowe of Douglasville, GA. In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, Dennis Gerald Willett, of the home; daughter, Julia Claudette Willett of Asheville; son, Caleb Gerald Willett of Asheville; sister, Genia Marino of Charleston, SC; nieces: Bethany Jongema and Rikkell Turbyfield; and a great-niece, Alexa Warlock. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday at Meadow Fork Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Willett, Rev. Jeff Rhew, and Rev. Andy McDevitt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home, where Trilla will be until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the services. The family wishes to express a heartfelt Thank You to the staff of WNC Cancer Care, Mountain Area Hospice, and to her special friends that came by and helped the family.
