Tilson Burnett Crowe

Tilson Burnett Crowe, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the WNC Baptist Home. A native of Madison County, he resided in Buncombe County since 1968. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War in which he received numerous medals. He was a son of the late Don and Nellie Reece Crowe. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Stella and Elsie; and brothers: Preston, Edward, Roscoe, Clement, and Troy. Surviving are his sister: Helen Crowe Brigman and her husband Bill of Marshall; brother, Jerry Crowe and his wife Joyce of Purvis, MS; a special niece, Cathy Crowe Lunsford and her husband Keith of Asheville; a special great-great niece, Kylee "Squirt"; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 23, 2016 in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, with Pastor Ed Jennings, and Rev. Billy Honeycutt officiating. Military honors will be given by the N.C. National Guard Honor Guard.
