Tillery "Buck" Clark

September 1, 1929 — March 22, 2015

Tillery Buck Clark, 85, died peacefully on March 22, 2015 at Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation Center. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late DC Brown and Bessie Alvia Clark. He was also preceded in death by a sister Birty Mae Clark, and brother, Perry Ellis Clark. As a young man he worked in the logging industry driving teams of mules and horses. Later he became an old fashion handyman; setting fences, building barns, gardening, taking care of live stock, baling hay, and other assorted farm duties for a variety of people. He knew the true meaning of hard work. He could work circles around many men his age. He was well respected and loved by all who knew him. Graveside services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Sky View Memorial Park. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the North Carolina Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NC-SPCA), P.O. Box 467, Asheville, NC 28802.
