Thelma E. Grigg

Asheville Thelma Elberta Deal Grigg, 84, of 88 Maney Avenue, passed away Friday, March 10, 2006 at St. Josephs Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Catawba County and a resident of Buncombe County since 1956. She was formerly employed with Mars Manufacturing Co. and a honorary member of St. Marks Lutheran Church. She was the daughter of the late Albert Macon Deal and Linnie Loretta Moose Deal Sigmon. Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Waycaster of the home, Wanda Roberts of Asheville, Pamela Frady of Candler and Debra Springer of Wells, Maine; sons, Richard Griggs of Gastonia and George Grigg of Flat Rock; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
