Thelma Cash Farlow

West Asheville -Thelma Cash Farlow, 78, of 298 Waynesville Avenue, left her earthly body to receive her heavenly wings surrounded by her family on Monday, May 16th, 2005 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Freeman Cash and Julia Neighbors Cash. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, and a granddaughter. A native of Buncombe County, she retired from Three Mountaineers, helped with the family business and was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of fifty seven years, George Lee Farlow Sr.; three daughters, Gayle Cole and Teresa Huskins of Asheville and Lynn Sales and husband Roger of Fairview; one son, George Lee Farlow Jr. of Asheville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and special caregiver, Paula Roberts. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday in the Chapel of Anders Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Enoch Ball Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery with Roger Sales, Brandon Sales, Scott Huskins, Donnie Cole, Tyler Cole and Tony Farlow serving as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the residence.
