Asheville - Steven Gillespie Steve Jarrett, 62, of Asheville, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the St. Joseph Campus following a courageous seven month battle with cancer. A native of McDowell County, Steve had resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was the Service Manager for Four Seasons Ford, and attended Crossroads Assembly of God. Steve was the son of the late Jack Clifton Jarrett, Sr. and Sally Gillespie Jarrett. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jack C. Jarrett, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Patty Hicks Jarrett, of the home; daughter, Stephanie Smyre and husband Robert of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; step-daughters: Lisa Fox and husband Kevin of Asheville and Glenna Dysinger and husband Jon of High Point; step-son, Bobby Reeves and wife Donna of Weaverville; five grandchildren; niece, Cynthia Cieszka of Deltona, FL; nephew, Jeff Jarrett of Orlando, FL; and his best friend since childhood, Mike Davidson of Swannanoa. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Crossroads Assembly of God, 20 South Bear Creek Road, Asheville, NC, with Pastor Glynn Bachelor and Pastor Bob Chuprevich officiating. Burial will follow in Sky View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:45-2:15 PM Sunday at the church. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Roger and Mary Jane Gregg, owners of Four Seasons Ford, for their incredible kindness, support and friendship.
