Shirley M. Creech

Brevard –Shirley Mae McLaughlin Creech, 75, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at The Oaks at Brevard.

A native of Transylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Lee McLaughlin and Ida Mae Lusk McLaughlin, and wife of 56 years of the late Robert Mason “Bobby” Creech, Sr. who passed away on November 2, 2022. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Shirley and her husband, Bobby, were the owners and operators of Fairview Family Care Home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Teresa Allen of Fairview, and Shoney Branson and husband Jeffrey of Marshall; son, Mason Creech of Fletcher; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings: Patsy Rathburn and husband Steve, Dickey McLaughlin, Pat Edwine Peters, and Carolyn McLaughlin; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Pinhook Baptist Church Cemetery in Jackson County.
