Shirley Edwards Taylor

Shirley Edwards Taylor, 65, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at her daughters residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde McCoy Edwards and Cora Mae Reid Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Max Taylor who passed away May 12, 2006; sister, Della Shook; and brothers: Elmer McCoy Edwards, and Ronnie Franklin Edwards. Surviving are her daughter, Valerie Taylor and her husband Greg of Hendersonville; sons: Phillip Max Taylor and his wife Jennifer of Bent Creek, Kenneth Edwards and his wife Kristy of Fletcher, and Charles Edwards and his wife Amanda of Candler; brother, Wesley Charles Edwards of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren: Jeffrey, Laura, Madison, Matthew, Megan, and Abby; great grandson, Stephen; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 5 PM on Friday, April 25, 2014, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Betty Drake officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
