Shirley Bugg

Leicester Shirley Ann Davis Bugg, 72, of 512 Meadowbrook Road, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. Mrs. Bugg was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and retired from American Enka Corp following 26 years of service. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Bonnie Tweed Davis. She was also preceded in death by her son, Christopher Guy Bugg, sister, Evelyn Beachboard and brother, Cole Davis. Surviving are her husband, Lewis Henry Bugg, Jr., whom they were married November 7, 1953, of the home; sons, Gary Henry Bugg of the home, Daniel Lewis Bugg & wife, Vivian of Asheville and Timothy Keith Bugg & wife, Linda of Fairview; grandchildren, Betina Castro, Jason Bugg, and Taylor, Emily and Nora Bugg; great grandchildren, Tori, Mateo and Erik. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Sam King officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Mountain Area Hospice for the love and care given to Mrs. Bugg.
