Asheville - Selma Eugenia Ramsey Wolfe Ward, 70, of 231 Shelburne Road passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Ward was a daughter of the late Rev. William Ralph Ramsey and Frances Louise Sawyer Ramsey and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, Eugene, Ralph , Dennis, William D. and James Garrett Ramsey; sisters, Leila Rector and Mary Gray; husband and father of her children, James F. Wolfe, Sr. Surviving are her husband, Donald Victor Ward of the home; daughter, Becky Carter of Asheville, step-daughter, Donna Kellis and husband Mike of Weaverville; sons, Jim Wolfe, Jr. & wife, Pam of Asheville, Butch Wolfe & wife, Gwen of Mebane, Rick Wolfe & wife, Stephanie of Candler, Phillip Wolfe & wife, Becky of Asheville; step-son, Larry Ward & wife, Debbie of Candler; sisters, Georgia Dover and Eva Glenn both of Asheville; brothers, Paige Ramsey and Martin Ramsey both of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Derika Wolfe, Lee Wright, Casey Wolfe, Lauren Ackerman, Megan Kellis, Brittany Ward, Hunter Ward, Emily Carter, Jessica Wolfe, Trey Wolfe, Grayson Wolfe, Tanner Wolfe, Olivia Wolfe & Sophie Wolfe. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Wayne Adkisson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 A.M. Monday prior to services.
