Tarpon Springs, FL - Sarah Elizabeth Anders Glenn, 84, of 467 Cypress Street formerly of Deanwood Circle, Asheville died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 following a period of declining health. A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Mrs. Glenn had resided in Tarpon Springs since 2003. She was formerly employed as a secretary with Van Winkle Buck Wall Starnes and Davis, P.A. and since 1950 was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Class Teacher in the childrens department. Mrs. Glenn was a former Volunteer with Memorial Mission Hospital with over 25,000 hours of service. She was a daughter of the late Theodore C. and Lillian Chambers Anders and the wife of Frank C. Glenn, Sr. who died in June of 1988. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Faye Gray and Nelle ONeal. Surviving are her sons, Ted A. Glenn and wife, Freda of Weaverville and Frank C. Glenn, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Tarpon Springs; grandchildren, Sarah Glenn of Lexington, KY and Dr. Joel Glenn of College Park, MD. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2004, at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Flowers are appreciated and for those who wish memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
