Sara Jane Moore

Leicester Sara Jane Janie Rumbough Moore, 49, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 18, 2016. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was employed as Manager in the Bakery of Ingles Grocery-Haywood Road. She attended Union Chapel Baptist Church, was a member of Carolina Tabernacle Baptist Church and was a graduate of North Buncombe High School. Janie was a daughter of the late Billy Howard Rumbough, Sr. and Allie Avelene Robinson Rumbough. Surviving are her boyfriend, David Honeycutt of the home, with whom she always said my beloved David, my caregiver and my best friend; sons, Adam Moore (Jessica) of Mars Hill and Lee Moore (Katie) of the home; grandsons, Jayden and Cameron and two more on the way; sisters, Ruby Foster (Charlee) of Woodfin, Tinnie Wright (Cecil) of Mars Hill and Rennie Peek (Dean) of Woodfin; brothers, Frank Rumbough and Billy Rumbough both of Woodfin and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Crane and Rev. Lanny Cobb officiating. Entombment will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
