Sandra H. Ashe

Candler Sandra Louise Honeycutt Ashe, 63, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Elizabeth House. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She had worked at American Enka, Kelwood and also McDonalds of Enka. Mrs. Ashe was a daughter of L.B. Honeycutt and Dorothy Dot Barnett Honeycutt and wife of Lee Roy Ashe who died November 1, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Roberts. Surviving are her daughter, Melinda Raymer and husband Hank of Fletcher; son, Marvin Ashe and wife Mauri of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Brandon Roberts, Alyssa Ashe, Grayson Goodson and Zachary Raymer; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Billie Jo Marlowe of Robbinsville; brother, Maurice Honeycutt of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Dave Soesbee officiating.
