Sam Robinson

Leicester - Sgt. Ralph Samuel Sam Robinson, Retired, 55, went to be with his Lord and family on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a long illness. A native of Anniston, Ala., he resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He retired in 1998 from the Buncombe County Sheriffs Dept. following 20 years in the Dept. of Correction. He was a member of Biltmore Masonic Lodge, was an avid fisherman and hunter and a member of the Little Big Horn Hunting Club. He was the son of the late Ralph Henry and Era Josephine Barnhill Robinson and was also preceded in death by his brother, Henry Grady Robinson. Surviving are his wife, Sheryl Robinson of the home; daughters, Samantha and husband Michael, Jennifer and husband Kenneth and Miranda; sons, Vincent and Daniel and wife Whitney; grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Brooke, Haley and Jadyn; sisters, Libby Watkins and Rena Jo Robinson and sister-in-law, Beth Robinson. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Day officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
