Asheville Sally Rochelle Leeds Roost, 82, of Timber Trail, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 18, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer. A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, she came to know Jesus as her personal Savior as a young lady. After graduating from Muskegon High School in 1953, she completed one year at the Swedish Covenant School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. She met the love of her life, Bill Roost, at the Rainbow Lake Bible Camp in Trufant, Michigan, and they were married on August 28th, 1954. She found deep fulfillment as a wife and mother. After retiring to Asheville, North Carolina, in 1990, she became an active member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church, particularly as a member of the Sanctuary Choir and the Homebound Ministry Team. She also served on the grounds committee of the Timbers Condominium Association. Her beloved Bill, husband of 62 years, preceded her to glory in March of this year. She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law: Colleen and Ever Smith of Cleveland, Ohio, Carrie and Steve Kasiguran of Oakwood Village, Ohio, Mindy and Vance McLarren of Phoenix, Arizona, Marcy and Dave Nielsen of Sherwood, Oregon and Becky and Scott Brown of Tempe, Arizona; 19 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Susan Price of The Villages, Florida, and two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Walter and Madeline Leeds of Cave Creek, Arizona and William and Jean Leeds of Rathdrum, Idaho. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 PM Monday, September 25, 2017 at Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Dockery officiating. Interment will be in Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain at 2:00 PM on September 25, 2017. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church.
