Ruth Rudisill

Asheville - Lillian Ruth Bedsole Rudisill, 99, formerly of 208 Vanderbilt Apts. went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday June 11, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Mrs. Rudisill was born in Fayetteville on February 5, 1908 and moved to Asheville in 1946. She retired from Western and Southern Life Ins. Co., originally the Imperial Life Ins. Co. after many years of service. She was a charter resident of the Vanderbilt Apts and lived there for over 30 years. She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Birdie Starling Bedsole and the wife of the late Carl A. Rudisill. She was also preceded in death by three brothers. Surviving are her son, Bob Rudisill and wife Inez; grandchildren, Pat Rudisill and wife Linda, Pam Rudisill and Jan Rudisill; great grandson, Michael Rudisill and one great great granddaughter all of Charlotte. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Margaret Torrence officiating. The family is extremely grateful to the Meals On Wheel Organization in Asheville for many years of providing her lunches. Mrs. Rudisill requested that at her death, in lieu of flowers, contributions would be made in her name to: Meals on Wheels, 146 Victoria Road, Asheville, NC 28801.
