Ruth Jones Hensley

Asheville - Ruth Naomi Jones Hensley, 96, died Sunday February 20, 2011. Ruth was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital for 31 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Asheville for 61 years and a member of the Dorcus Sunday School Class. She was a daughter of the late George and Nannie Jones and the wife of the late Sherman Hensley. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Sherman Hensley, Jr.; son, Robert C. Hensley; brothers, Frank and George Jones. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Hensley; grandsons, Carroll and Eddie Hensley and great granddaughters, Krystle and Catheryn Hensley all of Jacksonville. Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Revs. Fred Morris and Leah Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 P.M.
