Ruth J. Campbell

Fairview Ruth Johnson Campbell, 81, formerly of 12 Waters Road, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center. A native of Iredell County, Mrs. Campbell resided in Buncombe County for the past 58 years. She was the daughter of the late William Coy and Fannie Bell Crouse Johnson, and the wife of LeRoy Campbell, who passed away in 1990. Surviving are her daughter, Dian S. Villard and husband Dick of Asheville; and granddaughter, Mikki Hunter Lewis and husband Steve of Weaverville. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Skyview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the physicians and staff of Fleshers Fairview Health Care for the care Mrs. Campbell received during her stay there.
