Ruth Haney Adamski

April 18, 1920 — August 29, 2005

Alexander Ruth Haney Adamski 85 of 282 Mag Sluder Rd. went to be with her Lord Monday, August 29, 2005 at her residence following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County she was a daughter of the late Charles Everette Haney and Pearl Buckner Haney. Mrs. Adamski was the wife of Joseph Junior Adamski who passed away August 23, 2002. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and a true and faithful servant of her Lord. Surviving are her daughters, Rita Parham and husband David of Hereford, Arizona, Lynn Cattrell and husband Jeff of Leicester and Debra Smith and husband Kevin of Alexander; grandchildren, Michael, Tammy. Cassie and Amber; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Taylor and Helen Rogers both of Asheville; brothers, Denver Haney of Alexander, Rev. Everette C. Haney, Jr. and Don Haney both of Asheville and Earl Haney of Weaverville. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at New Liberty Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with the Revs Howard Self, Danny Little and Garry Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at her residence. A special thanks for the love and care given to our Mom by the staff of Mountain Area Hospice.
