Ruby Lois Mcmahan

April 24, 1928 — October 29, 2005

Asheville Ruby Lois McMahan, 77, formerly of 200 Tunnel Road, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2005, at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek. A native of Rutherford County, she had lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She formerly worked at American Enka Corp. She was the daughter of the late Horace William and Lillian Ester Harrill Henson and the former wife of the late Albert Higgins. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Henson, and sister, Helen Fitzpatrick. Surviving are her son, Ronnie Higgins, of Candler; granddaughters: Stacie Fincher of Candler and Tammy Barnhart of High Point; grandson, Travis Higgins of Candler; four great-grandchildren: Angie Barnhart, and Cameron, Chloe, and Morgan Fincher; and two sisters: Vera Pace and Gladys King, both of Asheville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in Green Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating.
