Ruby Gaddy Johnson

Woodfin Mary Ruby Gaddy Johnson, 82, of 1975 Riverside Drive, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Brian Center of Weaverville. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She retired from Burlington Industries and formerly attended West Asheville Assembly of God (Crossroads). She is the daughter of the late John Bunyon Gaddy and Addie Hayes Gaddy and wife of Barney J. Johnson who died July 3, 1991. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Ralph, Herschel, Bun, Troy and Roy Gaddy. Surviving are her sons, Ben Johnson of Asheville and Ken Johnson and wife, Annette of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Lisa Wright and husband, Terry, Kenneth M. Johnson and Kristopher W. Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kinsey and Emma; several nieces and nephews, including her niece, Joanne Black of Asheville. Graveside services will be held 3 P.M. Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Elk Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
