Robert Wright "Bob" Pridgen Jr.

Asheville - Robert Wright Bob Pridgen, Jr., 71, of 1100 Tunnel Road passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the Asheville V.A. Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Mecklenburg, Co. Mr. Pridgen resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from the National Climatic Center. He was a son of the late Robert Wright Pridgen, Sr. and Kathleen Barrett Pridgen. Surviving are his daughters, Susan Pridgen of Bowie, MD., Patty Pridgen of Baltimore, MD. and Kathy Seering and husband Joe of Crofton, MD.; brothers, James Pridgen and wife Agnes of Hendersonville and Richard Pridgen and wife Dale of Kernersville; 3 grandchildren, Rebecca and Daniel Seering and Savannah Pridgen. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Chaplain Richard Rockwell officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
